2025 Jeep Compass vs 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Serving Midwest City, OK

The 2025 Compass is the smallest Jeep crossover SUV in the lineup, and this two-row model is also the most affordable. The Grand Cherokee is a midsize crossover that has been a mainstay in the lineup for the last several decades, and it is recognized for its combination of rugged utility and premium features. As you prepare to select your next Jeep, take a moment to learn about the other differences between these models.

Performance

The four Jeep Compass trim levels carry the same four-cylinder, 2.0-liter turbo engine. This is a 200-horsepower system that connects with an all-drive and an eight-speed auto transmission. Select trims to add an upgraded all-wheel drive system, a Rock driving mode, low-range gearing, a raised off-road-tuned suspension, all-terrain tires, and hill descent control. The 2025 Grand Cherokee is outfitted with a 293-horsepower, V6, 3.6-liter engine and an eight-speed auto transmission. Rear-wheel drive is standard, and four-wheel drive is available. Some Grand Cherokee trim levels have standard four-wheel drive, an adaptive air suspension system, adjustable ride height, an electronic limited-slip rear differential, and other gear.

Appearance

The Compass is easy on the eyes with subtle angles through the profile and pinstripe accents over the side panels. The squared-off fenders have light definition that carries forward to the front bumper. The Compass's grille has a lean look with a rectangular grid pattern. The headlights are linked to the grille and boast an LED outline. In comparison, the larger Grand Cherokee has a taller, flatter profile. Its sides and fenders are styled similar to the Compass. At the front, the nose is flatter and shows off a rectangle-styled grille with rectangular, connected LED headlights. The boxy bumper holds tow hooks on some models.

Features

If you select the 2025 Compass, your Jeep may come with an 8.4-inch or 10.1-inch touch display screen, wireless Apple CarPlay with Android Auto, forward collision mitigation, remote engine start, heated front seats, keyless entry, a hands-free liftgate, a wireless charging pad, a heated steering wheel, an automated parking system, a highway driving system, and other equipment. The Grand Cherokee offers these features and several others. These include premium leather upholstery, wood trim, a McIntosh sound system with 19 speakers, a surround-view camera, memory settings for the front row, active driving assistance, and more.
