With its muscle car styling and stunning performance capabilities, the Dodge Charger is unlike any other four-door sedan on the market today. The 2023 model year marks the end of the current generation of the Charger, and all 2023 Charger trim levels will have a "Last Call" plaque to celebrate the occasion. The six trim levels available are the SXT, GT, R/T, Scat Pack, and SRT Hellcat Widebody. The GT and R/T trim levels share many features, but there are essential differences to check out before purchasing your next car.
One of the most significant differences between the 2023 Dodge Charger GT and R/T is experienced behind the wheel. The GT is powered by a 3.6-liter V6 engine. This is a 300-horsepower system that is available with rear-wheel and all-wheel drive options. This trim level is also outfitted with a sport suspension system. The R/T comes with a 370-horsepower, 5.7-liter V8 engine. Like the GT, the R/T has a sport suspension system. It also adds an active exhaust.
There is only one minor difference between the 2023 Charger GT and R/T. The GT has 20-inch wheels, the R/T is outfitted with 20-inch wheels with a special design. Both trims have heated side mirrors, a hood scoop, and LED fog lamps. This four-door sedan has an athletic look with crisp, angled accents across the sides and powerful styling on the nose. The ultra-thin grille pairs with LED-outlined headlights in a cohesive unit. This unit is mounted over a larger, black bumper with accompanying air intakes.
Regardless of your selection of the GT or R/T trims, your 2023 Charger will have an 8.4-inch infotainment system screen, Apple CarPlay with Android Auto, a leather-covered steering wheel, remote engine start, cruise control, a two-zone climate control system, a keyless ignition, a premium sound system, an 8.4-inch infotainment system screen, and cloth seats. No additional features are introduced with the R/T trim level.
