What's New for the 2025 RAM 1500 Big Horn/Lone Star?
The 2025 RAM 1500 is a full-size truck that is available in eight trim levels. The second trim in the lineup is the Big Horn, which is also known as the Lone Star in Texas. This trim level is almost identical to the base Laramie trim. However, instead of vinyl seats, it has cloth seats. In addition, the Big Horn has several optional features that you cannot add to the Laramie. Compared to the 2024 version, the 2025 RAM 1500 Big Horn/Lone Star has a new look and a few new features.
Under the hood, the RAM 1500 Big Horn is unchanged. It features a mild-hybrid, 3.6-liter V6 engine. This system delivers 305 horsepower with 269 pound-foot of torque. Rear-wheel drive and a shiftable eight-speed auto transmission are included.
The exterior of the 2025 RAM 1500 is remarkably designed with a fresh look and is now available with several new paint colors. This truck continues to be available with a crew cab and a short bed or a quad cab with an extended bed. The hood is strongly sculpted, and the wide grille displays a large RAM logo. To the sides of the grille, the reshaped headlights run horizontally and now have angled LED lighting elements. In addition, the Big Horn/Lone Star's 18-inch steel wheels have a new design.
The 2025 RAM 1500 Big Horn/Lone Star has a larger, 12-inch central display screen on the interior. It continues to have features like a blind-spot warning system, lane-keeping assistance, parking sensors, adaptive cruise control, a rear cross-traffic warning, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and a six-speaker sound system.
This trim level is also available with several options, including a surround-view camera system, towing equipment, evasive steering assistance, intersection collision mitigation, and hands-free driving assist.
