For more than 30 years, the Jeep Grand Cherokee has remained a strong contender for SUV shoppers in Midwest City and beyond. This midsize model has successfully incorporated luxury and rugged functionality into a sophisticated design. For 2024, the Grand Cherokee eliminates its optional V8 engine. It continues to be available at five trim levels, including Laredo, Altitude, Limited, Overland, and Summit.
The 2024 Grand Cherokee Altitude is comparable to the entry-level Laredo, and it adds several upgrades to the cabin to enhance your driving experience. The features introduced at this trim level are a power liftgate, a wireless phone charger, heated front seats, a remote start, a heated steering wheel, a sunroof, and a combination of synthetic leather and suede upholstery.
These features are added to the Laredo's features, which include roof rails, wireless smartphone app connects, an 8.4-inch touch display screen, keyless entry, a dual-zone auto climate control system and a six-speaker audio system. All Grand Cherokee trims for 2024 also have forward collision mitigation, adaptive cruise control, a blind-spot warning, lane keeping, rear parking sensors, and auto braking.
The Grand Cherokee Laredo's power comes from a 3.6-liter V6 engine. This 293-horsepower gas engine pairs with an eight-speed auto transmission. Rear-wheel drive is standard, or you can upgrade to a four-wheel drivetrain system.
The 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee's design stands out on the road with its boxy body language and overall sophistication. The squared-off wheel wells and lower door panels are accented with a pinstripe line. On the flat nose, the grille and lower fascia are both rectangular, and the grille has a rectangular grid pattern. In addition, the horizontal LED headlights and upright air vents have a boxy shape.
