Combining the ruggedness of the beloved Wrangler with the utility of a pickup truck, the 2024 Jeep Gladiator receives notable enhancements across its design, features, and performance. While maintaining its iconic Wrangler-inspired aesthetics, this mid-generation update brings significant changes. The exterior showcases a redesigned grille with rounded ends, signature bar accents, and circular headlights seamlessly integrated into the grille. New wheel designs, a windshield-embedded antenna, and the introduction of Anvil as a body paint option further enhance its visual appeal. Opting for the Mojave X or Rubicon X trim adds steel bumpers for added toughness.
Beneath the hood, the 2024 Gladiator offers an updated powertrain lineup. The V6 diesel engine from the previous year is discontinued, leaving the V6 3.6-liter gas engine as the sole option. This powertrain delivers 285 horsepower and can be paired with an eight-speed automatic or six-speed manual transmission. Standard part-time four-wheel drive with low-range gearing ensures capable off-road performance. Higher trims may feature enhancements like a locking differential, Fox shock absorbers, electronically disconnecting stabilizer bars, a two-speed transfer case, a lifted suspension, and more.
Interior improvements include a larger 12.3-inch infotainment system screen, now standard across all trim levels. The Mojave X and Rubicon X trims receive 12-way power adjustments and leather seats for added comfort and luxury. Furthermore, side curtain airbags for both rows enhance safety across all trims. These updates complement the array of desirable features carried over from the 2023 model, including a front-facing camera, blind-spot monitor, removable roof panels, heated steering wheel, navigation system, heated front seats, adaptive cruise control, push-button ignition, an eight-speaker sound system, and removable doors.
