What's New for the 2023 Dodge Challenger?
The 2023 model year is the end of the Dodge Challenger's current generation. In celebration of this milestone, special plaques are found under the hood for all trim levels. The Dodge Challenger also brings a few retro colors back for 2023. These are Plum Crazy, Sublime Green and B5 Blue. In addition, if you choose the 2023 Dodge Challenger R/T, the coupe will include a 345 badge for the first time. This badge honors the trim's V8 Hemi engine. Another exciting update for the 2023 Challenger is the limited-edition Shakedown trim. Dodge is producing only 1,000 of these cars. Both R/T Scat Pack and Widebody versions are available.
With the exception of these changes, the 2023 Dodge Challenger is unchanged. The exterior has a throwback look with the long, flat hood and powerfully raked roof the model is known for. The crease across the sides swells over the rear haunches with a powerful effect. At the front, the U-shaped LED headlights are incorporated in the wide, black grille. Some trim levels have a hood scoop, special graphics, flared fenders, drag racing tires, and up to 20-inch wheels.
This two-door coupe accommodates four passengers, and select trims have cloth performance seats, leather seats, or leather and suede seats. All trims are available with a push-button engine starter, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a UConnect infotainment system, a 7-inch touch display screen or larger, and a two-zone auto climate control system. Some of the 2023 Challenger trims are also available with an Alpine or Harman Kardon audio system, a navigation system, a heated steering wheel, and heated front seats.
The Challenger's performance varies significantly by trim. The entry-level trim comes with a 303-horsepower V6 engine. The most powerful engine is an 807-horsepower V8 unit. Four other V8 engines are available in the mid-level trims. Mechanical features offered across the 2023 Challenger's trim levels are an active performance exhaust, upgraded engine cooling, a TransBrake, Brembo brakes, adaptive damping with an upgraded suspension, launch control, and all-wheel drive.
